Safe Classrooms and Safe Routes to School
Every child deserves both safe classrooms and a safe route to schools.

Anti-bullying and inclusive classrooms: Maintain an unwavering commitment to physical and emotional safety inside schools through proactive anti-bullying policies, restorative practices, and anti-discrimination standards.

Active and safe routes to school: Advocate with the District of West Vancouver to and the Ministry of Transportation and Transit to expand and better maintain sidewalk and bike/roll infrastructure, as well as optimize pick-up/drop-off zones around elementary and secondary schools.

Mobility equity: Ensure that whether a student walks, bikes, rolls, takes transit, or arrives by car, their route is safe, accessible, and stress-free for families.
Student Well-Being and Inclusion
Create inclusive and supportive learning environments.

Mental Health & Emotional Support: Increase access to school counselors, youth mental health resources, and proactive wellness programming that addresses anxiety, stress, and modern digital pressures.

Inclusive Education & Accessibility: Ensure robust support systems for neurodivergent students, English language learners, and children with diverse learning needs so no student is left behind.

Community & Culture: Foster a strong sense of belonging through school arts initiatives, extracurricular activities, and community partnerships that support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Collaborative Governance & Fiscal Responsibility
Transparent decision making rooted in listening and evidence-based planning.

Data-driven and evidence-based planning: Base District policy, enrolment projections, and resource allocation on rigorous analysis, clear metrics, and proven educational best practices.

Meaningful community engagement: Establish open channels of communication with parents, teachers, staff students, and local communities groups in order to ensure that decisions reflect authentic consultation.

Advocacy for District funding: Serve as a persistent, principled voice with the Provincial Government to secure equitable funding that reflects West Vancouver's capital and operational needs.
Upgraded Infrastructure
Advocate for investment in our school infrastructure to ensure student health, keep up with the latest technology, lower operational costs, and protect our environment.

Modernize classrooms: Upgrade technology, building systems, and specialized spaces (labs, art facilities, libraries) to support modern teaching.

Sustainability and energy efficiency: Accelerate green building updates such as heat pump retrofits for cooling and heating, solar technology and upgraded building envelopes to reduce the District's carbon footprint and build climate resilience.

Operational reinvestment: Reduce utility and maintenance expenses through energy-efficient infrastructure, redirecting cost savings into classroom resources and student services.
